Diploma 12 is interested in instrumenting change through the strategic implementation of architectural practice. Using the design of strategically deployed events as a catalyst, we will build material worlds of our own that are carefully crafted for future communities, creating visionary architectural models that reflect their precise ideals and dreams.

hotel design of selected moments = narrative architectural spaces

Design Criteria to measure how to balance between the FOH and BOH. 

The guest experience is curated to selected moments, and this reflects in the construction of the plan and the construction of the design. The plan is transferred into film acquiring a scenographic quality. The view and the design allows to read it as a set model, whilst being part of a larger hotel scheme.

These spaces are either “Arrival and Exits” or “Exchanges”.

Main Architectural Elements:

1) FOH: Core and Elevator are main protagonists. No corridor in Guest Experience. Elevator= Proscenium. Floor = Stage 

2) BOH: Guestrooms includes a transparent glazed one way see through glass from inside the room putting on display the selected back of house spectacles, such as the linen chute, when it is conventionally concealed.
